The Weinergate Scandal, was Anthony Weiner cheating on his Wife?

He says he never cheated on his wife, what do you think? After denying allegations of tweeting lewd photos of his manhood to a university student, Congressman Anthony Weiner has finally admitted to doing the dirty deed. Why did he lie and blamed hackers for the photos being sent from his twitter account? According to him, he panicked after the photos were sent to the wrong woman.

Now I do have to say that I think the weinergate scandal has been way overblown. If a man, any man or woman, feel like getting their jollies by taking pictures of their assets and broadcasting them to strange women, or men, power to them. It could have been worse. They could have actually had an affair, instead, they settled for tweeting and phone sex.

The question, however, is, was it really that harmless? Do we trust someone who says they were faithful to their pardner when we know that they have been naughty from a distance? According to Mr Weiner, his wife still loves him and he swears that he never cheated with any of the 6 women he tweeted dirty photos to.

I am somewhat torn. Sending naked photos to women seems a first glance like harmless fun for a middle aged man, if you can relate to the mid life crisis. The question, however, is first of all, can you believe someone who tried to cover up his transgressions? If it were that innocent, why the lies? Secondly, if a man, a congressman and a rising political star, can risk so much by digitally cavorting with strange women in cyberspace, wouldn't he be tempted to try the real thing by having a physical relationship outside of marriage?

Whether Anthony Weiner was engaging in harmless fun or courting prospective pardners in crime, there will always be those nagging questions about how far he went and how far he was prepared to go. Was he cheating on his wife by sending naughty pictures to women and how far did he really go?
